Jem Treays (Wales)

A chance to work with CDW member Jem Treays. Recently awarded the 
prestigious 'Creative Wales Award', Jem is an independent artist, 
choreographer, director and also lecturer at RWCMD.

In this workshop you will:

• explore a dance/physical approach accessing and manipulating emotion in performance

• engage in a playful improvisational process 

• be introduced to lifting techniques, character work & contact improvisation

Jem specialises in bringing out participants performances through encouraging 
them to trust their instincts and use the fundamental tools of touching, 
listening and seeing as starting points for creating authentic and meaningful 
choreography.

All of this will enable you to create and perform solo, duet and group work.
