What is an ITG?

Individual Training Grants are designed specifically to enable individuals to pursue continuing professional development opportunities in dance.

Funds for this scheme are currently limited to £2,000 per annum.
An ITG is available to individuals who:
-
Are aged 18 years or over
-
Are predominantly living or working in Wales
-
Have received professional dance training or already working in the profession
An ITG can be used towards:
-
The cost of a training course / event, held within Wales, or elsewhere, which will assist in the continuing professional development of individuals and benefit community dance in Wales.
Including: Course fees and Associated Costs - Travel / Accommodation / Childcare etc
CDW is keen to remove all barriers to individuals attending courses
/ events.

An ITG CANNOT be used for:

An ITG will be awarded under the following conditions:

The course is the most appropriate available in terms of cost, locality and meeting specific needs

Individuals must provide CDW with an evaluation report of the training received

Individuals will be asked to demonstrate how the skills will feed back into their work in Wales

Individuals may be requested to pass on their knowledge to other members
(e.g. running workshops, producing fact sheet, etc)
When to apply:

Applications can be made at any time throughout the year and will be presented to the
'Steps Steering Group' at the following meeting (take place 4 times a year).

Please allow as much time as possible for the application to be considered, as grants will not be given retrospectively.
