Injury Prevention with Kim Pedrick, 
Dance UK's Healthier Dancer Programme

PILATES with Jan Davies

Kim delivered this course in Cardiff in December
CDW is now delighted to bring this DanceUK workshop to North Wales.

This session will

  • outline the different factors relating to the individual dancer's anatomy
    and physiology

  • outline the different factors relating to the environments in which they 
    work and train, that can potentially cause injury

  • identify some common dance injuries & provide tips on preventing them
    offer guidelines for dealing with injuries 

  • offer practical examples of corrective and preventative exercises

THIS WILL BE COMPLEMENTED BY
a half day PILATES session to refresh you

with CDW member and Stott (TM) Pilates Instructor, Jan Davies 
Pilates (or physical mind method) is a series of non-impact exercises to 
develop strength, flexibility, balance and inner awareness and is

  • particularly beneficial for dancers. 

  • helpful in preventing & rehabilitating after injuries

  • helpful in improving posture & increasing flexibility, circulation & balance.
