"Body Balancing" for Dancers, Massage & Skeletal Alignment 
Physiotherapist, CDW member Susie Sheen, delivered this workshop for North East Wales Dance and CDW is pleased to bring Susie further South to share her expertise. 

You will: 

  • Get to know more about your own body & its health needs

  • Try simple therapeutic neck, shoulder & back massages

  • Look at homeostasis & cell nutrition & how that relates to health

  • Examine the autonomic nervous system - how to keep it active, healthy & in balance

  • Cool down & / or preparation for movement - massage for relaxation & exercises useful for balancing the body.

By members' request a workshop addressing concerns about NUTRITION 

Jasmine will look at what dancers should eat & how much water they should drink in order to support optimum physical performance and health.
PLUS information on disordered eating - highlighting the risks and warning signs shown by sufferers of eating disorders and where teachers can get help and support to pass on to their dance participants.
