About this event
A one day workshop designed to help dance practitioners understand the importance of safe exercise and get to grips with flexibility and gain an overall understanding of how the body works.
The Tutor
Jill Elbourne is a freelance tutor with experience in delivering specialised courses on flexibility and safe exercise. Currently teaching dance to postgraduate students, Jill has also recently tutored for the National Resource Centre for Dance.
The Workshop
Have fun, develop skills and take away new ideas for your work with youth group! This event comprised of three 90 minute workshops where the following areas will be explored:
Warming up and cooling down - How the body works
Making decisions about safe exercise for dancers - particularly for children and young people
Help dance practitioners make the right decisions about what exercise is suitable
Focus on flexibility
